• The goal of the 18-month Clinical Orthodontic Program offered by Perfect Braces Academy is to provide General Practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to provide comprehensive orthodontic treatment to their patients. The program is designed to:

• Facilitate your professional growth by providing an environment in which you will learn the latest techniques and concepts in orthodontics.
• Enable you to more comprehensively service those who come to you for dental care by providing you with the skills and knowledge to offer orthodontic treatment.
• Help you become knowledgeable and confident in providing orthodontic treatment to your patients.

• The program is designed to be hands-on and patient-based, with a limited number of participants to maintain a dynamic student-to-instructor learning experience in a clinical setting. You will treat 3 cases from bracketing to retention, and have lifetime access to the academy's website and recorded lectures. The instructors will provide mentoring and case consultation for no additional fee, and you will have the same instructor for each session with monitoring privileges upon completion. The program is designed to help you become proficient and confident in providing orthodontic treatment to your patients.

Theoretical sessions are held on Fridays and include the following topics:

• Treatment Planning
• Case Selection
• Etiology/Causation
• Facial Esthetics – Profile Analysis
• Early treatment – when to intercept
• Appliances
• Arch development - Palatal Expansion
• Oral habits - Tongue thrust, thumb sucking
• Orthodontic Mechanics
• Space Maintenance – Creating / Maintaining
• Overbite / Overjet
• Open Bites – Skeletal / Dental
• Extractions – when to extract
• Impactions
• Case Finishing
• Retention
• Practice and Risk Management
• Lifetime Case Mentoring (facebook group joining required)

Clinical sessions are held on weekends and consist of one weekend every month for 15 months. During these sessions, trainees will start direct patient treatments under direct supervision. All patients, materials, and supplies for the clinical sessions are provided by the academy.

The lectures are quickly recovered by starting 3-4 cases in your own practice, and the instructors will provide mentoring and case consultation for no additional fee.
